Happy 7 Months.
Another month older and another Month of growth by leaps and bounds!
Mr Hoyt can sit on his own with a pillow for cushioning a fall). He is very happy with his new skill since he had grown really tired of just lying around or being propped up. Hoyt also enjoys his walker. He can move from place to place very slowly but he is getting the hang of it. He also loves volumes of toys on his tray so he can play and move! And the toys may just all be tossed in the floor.
We have moved on to stage two foods. Which stage two opens a wide variety of items! We have enjoyed chicken, spinach, strawberries and blueberries! In the coming weeks we will try all sorts of thing. We are held to one new food a week, so it will take some time.
I am starting to put syllables together. I have not mastered a word yet but I could be close. I also love to put a fist at my mouth and talk while I move my fist to change the sounds I can make. Very sophisticated huh? It’s also the cutest thing ever.
Hoyt was a sick boy too this month. He had a double ear infection and RSV. Yuck! The RSV was terrible. We had to do breathing treatments which he tolerated fairly well. Better than welsh ever did. We also had a round of antibiotics and rocefin shots (ouch). But the kicker to all of this is that Hoyt drank less in his bottles. For a lean kid that is pint size this
was tough to watch. Hope we can continue to work to fatten him up a bit. He is back to full bottles and eating 1 1/2 tubs of stage 2 foods at each meal!
The breastmilk is long gone and we are totally on formula now. Hoyt likes it and we are cruising on. I will always cherish the breastfeeding him. But it was nice to turn in the breast pump!!!!
I also look back at this month and note what a happy and fun baby he is. He rolls with the changes, loves to laugh and smile, eager to go places, handles his brothers love and attention – sometimes rougher than it should be, and all around is just a delight to our family. We are blessed to have him!!!
Here are the highlights of Seven Months:
- I can sit on my own and I love it
- I’ve moved on to Stage 2 Foods and completely on Formula
- Its been a sick month, but I am well now
- I love to babble and starting to put some words together!
