Our little sprite is four months. The journey til now is filled with love and so easy to gloss over those hard moments or days. We have lived them don’t fret but they are not what we will remember.
This month seems so monumental. Mom went back to work, brother returned to school and Hoyt began child care. His first stop was at the Peelers as Chapin Baptist was not able to take him early. With their help I started back training at the fuels facility earlier than planned and Hoyt had a ball being spoiled rotten by Kyra and all the brothers and sisters. Being the only baby there meant extra attention. In all seriousness I am grateful, we are grateful for their help and boy oh boy I wish he could go there every day.
Concerning his growth, Hoyt has a longer attention span and loves to watch his family hard at life. Whether it is dad cooking, mom cleaning, Welsh playing or if we are all playing with him, Mr Smilie will watch us in amazement. And if you acknowledge him he will talk back to you too! Cooing of course. He is quite the chatter box! Hoyts naps are stretching out and his nights are falling into a pattern. Whoooo hoooo. While he does not sleep through the night there is a regular schedule for him that helps with predictability. Who does not like that with an infant? Hoyt had full control of his head and loves to work on sitting. We got out the baby walker and are trying to use it a bit to help with leg strength. Hoyt continues to eat eat eat. He weighs just over 13 pounds! I’m still breast feeding him and it is downright amazing that we have the supply we do. I am so thankful to God it has been so easy!
Hoyt made his first trip to Clemson and silly mom forgot to take a picture! We also met Georgia who is a friend of mines baby that is about three weeks younger than him. Hoyt slept and Georgia was quiet. Not much of a hang out I suppose. Another set of firsts was his first dinner out as a family to the Pepper and his 3M pictures!
Here are a few memories of four months:
- I’m just as talkative as my brother
- I want to do sit ups so bad, so help me sit up please
- I’m getting my rhythm more in sleeping at night
- I have adjusted well to child care
- I am a healthy breastfed 3 month old (Praise the Lord)
